Dorian Avila
Dorian Avila is a respected guitarist from Maracaibo, Venezuela. He
studied under guitar masters such as Luis Zea, Gerardo Soto, Carlos
Barbosa Lima, Luis Quintero, etc., and graduated with certificates in musical

language, harmony, and music history
from the Jose Luis Paz Conservatory of Music.
As an instructor, Dorian has taught at numerous academies, and was professor of classical guitar at the Cecilio Acosta Catholic University in Maracaibo.
Dorian's experience as a performer is broad, and spans the gamut from classical to rock. He has done solo recitals, played in chamber orchestras, and worked with a variety of groups that toured throughout Venezuela as well as abroad. Included in Dorian's performance history is a series of international concerts throughout South America and the United States with Ricardo Montaner's band.
